CAM: There’s nothing gays hate more than when people treat us like women. We’re not. We don’t wanna go to your baby shower. We don’t have a time of the month. We don’t love pink.
MITCH: You love pink.
CAM: No, pink loves me.

Tsering Wangmo Dhompa is a poet who collects inspiration from the everyday—walking in the city, looking at people, listening to language—as well as from her imagination and memory. While her unique perspective and identity as a Tibetan refugee inform who she is and what she writes, she does not have a fixed meaning for her work. She is delighted by the unique and varied meanings different readers can bring to each poem. In this show we explore her process and enjoy her product.
(A beautiful slideshow featuring images and the poet talking about her process plus one poem.)
